It's been a productive spring! In April I attended the Scissortail Creative Writing Festival in Ada, Oklahoma. I read an excerpt from my newest novel, A Still and Awful Red, as well as heard many wonderful poems and stories from other writers. As always, it was invigorating.
In April, I was also fortunate to bring Dacre Stoker to campus as a guest speaker for the MSSU Honors Lecture Series. Talking with him about his own writings, as well as learning about his great uncle's research and writing of Dracula, was fascinating, especially as a lover of the Gothic.
I'm currently finishing up my new novel, only one more chapter to go. I'm also in the process of setting up more readings and book signings. More news to follow. Until then, keep reading and writing...
